A fire has reportedly broken out in a warehouse on the site of the 2012 Olympics. The area, which is undergoing a massive reconstruction effort, is about 5 1/2 miles from the center of London and "near where the main press center will be located." Luckily, it wasn't a stadium or a indoor pool, which would really hamper the Olympics.
The building was reportedly scheduled to be demolished but decided to errupt in flames instead of being knocked to the ground by a wrecking ball. The wrecking ball is just so impersonal. At this the fire does not seem to be the result of arson and there are reportedly no injuries. However one railway line was effected by the blaze, shutting down due to smoke.
