Last night I attended the Mets v. Phillies game. It was a blast. (Thx HHL for the tickets) Tom Glavine pitched in search of career win #296 against one of the few players in baseball older than Glavine, Jamie Moyer. The Mets charged hard scoring two runs in the second, but the Phillies were able to tie it up in the third with a two run single by Chase Utley. It stayed tied for another 8 innings until Chase Utley hit a lead off homer to win the game, although the Phillies did score another run in the top of the 11th to make it 4-2. (Unfortunately, I left at the end of the 10th to catch my train. Darn NJ Tranist!)
Of course, I never attend a game without learning a few things like:
1. "Cheer Stix" are the most annoying things ever created especially in the hands of four 13 year old boys seated two rows behind you!
2. Cacahuetes are peanuts in spanish. (Thank you, Jose Reyes)
3. Apparently, two offensive players cannot occupy the same base at one time. (Thank you, Pat the Bat)
4. Citi and the Mets make a great partner.
5. If Carlos Beltran and Jose Reyes had a child it would look something like Carlos Gomez.

It's been fun blogging with you,
