can you see the packers from your couch?

Football Update:
The Green Bay Packers will take on the Dallas Cowboys tonight on the NFL Network at 8 PM/est. The game is being hyped as the biggest NFC match up of the season, as both teams are 10-1 and battling for what could be home field advantage in the playoffs. But many people will be unable to see the game. Of course, I'm not included in that group, thanks to verizon cable, I'll be able to see the game from the comfort of my own couch. What? It's getting like really cold outside, I don't feel like getting in my cold car to drive to a local bar to watch the game.

Injury report, Seahawks Sean Alexander probably in...Eagles Donovan McNabb a maybe...Rams Mark Bulger missed practice after suffering a concussion...Chiefs Brodie Croyle missed practice with an injured back...The Bills will likely be without defensive end Chirs Kelsay and Marshawn Lynch...Cardinals pro bowl safety Andrian Wilson will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his right heel...

Who will be the Browns QB after 2007?

Arizona Kicker Neil Rackers says he's sorry for hitting a camera man with his helmet following the Cardinals 37-31 loss to the 49ers.

Cardinal Antrel Rolle thinks childhood friend and Redskin Sean Taylor's death was not a bulgary gone wrong but rather a targeted attack. Although the popo continues to think it was random.

Baseball Update:
The Minnesota Twins and Tampa Bay Rays completed a six player deal that sent Delmon Young, Breandan Harris and Jason Pridie to the Twins for Matt Garza, Jason Bartlett and Eduardo Morlan.

The Rays not only picked up three new players, they also unveiled plans for a new stadium.

...And they may get Troy Percival for a couple of years.

After a failed move to the Mets, Yorvit Torreabla will be staying with the Rockies after signing a 2 year, $7 million contract. He'll be joined by pitcher Matt Herges who got a one year deal.

Speaking of the Mets, they picked up reliever Brian Stokes from the Rays for cash...And if you're wondering what they'll be up against in 2008, just ask Billy Wagner.

The Houston Astors locked up Jose Cruz, Jr., Kevin Hooper, Tomas Perez and Stephen Randolph. All four players have been invited to Spring Training Camp.

Japanese reliever Yasuhiko Yabuta is heading to Kansas City. The two sides agreed to a two-year $6 million contract.

Congratulations to Jon Lester on picking up the 2007 Tony Congiliaro Award given to a plyare who has "overcome adversity through the attributes of spirit, determination and courage." Lester left the 2006 season early to battle cancer. In 2007 he picked up the win for the Red Sox clinching the World Series.
