Matt Kenseth to get a new crew chief

ESPN.com is reporting that one of the longest partnerships between a driver and crew chief is about to end after the race in Homestead. Robbie Reiser, the crew chief of the #17 Ford driven by Matt Kenseth, will leave his post to become the general manager of Roush Fenway Racing. Reiser will replace Max Jones who will become the GM of Yates Racing who entered a technological partnership with Roush Fenway which allows them to opperate a seven car team without violating Nascar's four car rule.

Kenseth and Reiser have been partnered in the Cup Series since 2000. Although their realtionship goes back to their racing days in Wisconsin. In 1997, Robbie Reiser gave Kenseth his first big break, bringing him in to run his car in the Busch Series. During their eight season tenure Kenseth has picked up the 2003 Winston Cup Championship, the 2000 Rookie of the Year Award and 15 wins.
