Election Day

Here's the news on the 2007 Election Day...did you vote?

NASCAR Update:
Max Siegel, president of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. would like everyone to know that the team is not falling a part. They are here to stay. Oh, and just disregaurd that Steve Hmiel left, that whole disgruntle employee act that went down in Charlotte and the fact that Richie Gilmore has been under the weather. We are totally fine!

Texas ratings were down 10% over a year ago.

Check out the entry list for Cup, Busch and Truck for Phoenix this weekend.

Ron Hornaday will race in the Busch Series this weekend in a Kevin Harvick, Inc. ride.

Football Update:
The Steelers not only celebrated 75 years in business but also a 38-7 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

The Cowboys activated Tank Johnson after he completed his eight game suspension.

In other reactivation news, the Cincinnati Bengals have receiver Chris Henry back after he completed his eight game suspension. Now the countdown clock is set for Pacman's return!

Good news for the Denver Broncos, Jay Cutler does not have a broken leg. The MRI found only a bruise.

The Carolina Panthers may need to find another 40 something year old retired NFL quaterback to come out of retirement after David Carr suffered a concussion during their loss to the Titans on Sunday. Vinny Testaverde is nursing his Achilles and Jake Delhomme is out for the season with an injured elbow. Matt Moore, an undrafted QB is there only hope.

The Colts are denying they pipe in noise claiming the dome's rowdy atmosphere is to blame.

Popo in my crib News:
Nascar owner Gene Haas was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to "defrauding the government of $34 million." As part of his sentence, he must pay back $5 million in fines and $70 million in back taxes. Watch out Gene, because the popo are on your tail!

Oklahoma State starting linebacker Chris Collins had to leave the team to attend his assault trial in Texarkana, Texas this week. Collins' trial stems from a 2004 after prom party. If Collins does not attend practice by Wednesday, by team rule he will be unable to play in Saturday's game. Watch out Chirs, because the popo are on your tail!

News & Notes: Andy Pettite said he would only play for the Yankees in 2008. So when he declined the player option does that mean he's retiring?...Curt Schilling is nearing a one year deal with the Red Sox. Too bad for those young pitchers in Tampa Bay...Meanwhile, the San Diego Padres and Greg Maddux have agreed to a one year, $10 million deal...Joe Torre was officially paraded out by the Los Angeles Dodgers as their new Manager. Don Mattingly and Larry Bowa will join Torre out in LaLa Land...Chien Ming Wang wants to stay with the Yankees for life. But if the Yankees were smart, they'd use him as a center piece to bring in maybe Miguel Cabrera...Tom Glavine to the Nationals? Say it ain't so...Or maybe it will be Livan Hernandez...Texas A&M is looking to buyout Dennis Franchione's contract...Virginia Tech will be without leading rusher Cedric Peerman for the rest of the season, after he undergoes surgery to repair his foot...#13 UCONN has suspended tailback Lou Allen indefintely for violating an unspecified school rule...It may be a little premature to be saying this, but if you have a chance to catch Memphis' Derrick Rose this season, do it! He lead the team to a 102-71 win over Tennessee-Martin...Dwayne Wade practiced with the Heat for the first time since he had surgery to repair his knee, but a return date is still not known.

Check this out: It's new music Tuesday and the industry is offering up two different selections for you, Jay-z's American Gangster and Garth Brook's The Ultimate Hits.
