you make me feel like dancing

The NCAA Men's brackets were announced on Sunday. Click here to see who made it in, who got snubbed and more importantly who your favorite team will be playing the opening round.

Baseball Update:
The Yankees had an interesting visitor on Sunday and no it was probably not as exciting as Billy Crystal but he was a recognizable face, former catcher Jim Leyritz. Generation trey take note, drinking and driving is not a good thing.

On Friday, penalties were announced in the almost great spring training brawl between the Yankees and Rays. Both Shelley Duncan and Melky Cabrera of the Yankees received 3 game suspensions while the Rays Jonny Gomes received a two game suspension effective Opening Day 2008. Both Duncan and Cabrera plan on appealing their suspensions.

The Rays will also be without pitcher Scott Kazmir to start the season with the ace likely heading to the DL with an elbow strain.

Still penciling in the Mets as the front runner for the NL East Crown? Well add Ramon Castro to the league of injured Mets players and then there's Carols Delgado who got hit by the shard end of Brady Clark's bat. Looks like the luck flew out of Queens when Johan Santana arrived.

Jeff Francoeur is ok have being hit in the head by "a changeup that got away from" Cardinals pitcher Todd Wellemeyer in the Braves 3-2 win. Francoeur will miss a few games but should be back with the team by start of the season. For more Braves news head over to our Braves Blog.

The Angels got five shout out innings from Jered Weaver in their 5-2 win over the Giants.

Good news for Red Sox Nation, Josh Beckett was able to throw a pain free session but will not be traveling to Japan to take on the A's next week.

Ian Snell agreed to a three year, $8 million contract with the Pirates.

Jeff Conine will sign a one day contract with the Florida Marlins before retiring.

The Padres and Dodgers trip to China ended on a positive note with many of the players and executives saying they'd be happy to come back. Of course the trip was a little happier for the Padres who beat the Dodgers 6-3.

You heard it from the horse's mouth, if the Chicago White Sox continue on their lackluster path, Manager Ozzie Guillen is saying the team should find someone else who can right the ship.

President Bush will throw out the first pitch at the inaugural game at Nationals Park on March 30th. It will President Bush's final Opening Day as President. (Insert your own joke here)

Nascar Update:
Goodyear needs to fire their PR team and get a new one because blaming Tony Stewart for not being helpful during tire tests and then excluding Toyota once again from a tire test is not the way to win over fans. I'm pretty sure firestone, bridgestone and hooiser are salvating at the thought of getting into North America's biggest racing circuit.

Dale Jarrett received quite the sendoff prior to the start of Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol, Jarrett's final points paying race in Nascar.

Starting with Bristol in two weeks, the top 35 will be determined by this year's points standings meaning Jamie McMurray and the 26 Crown Royal Ford will have to race its way in and Sam Hornish, Jr. doesn't.

A Union in Nascar? Drivers debate its merrits here.
