While you were brawling Yankees and Devil-less Rays...

Baseball Update:
Following the light fight down in Florida, the Rays were able to beat the Yanks 7-6.

Andy Pettitte was scratched from Wednesday's start because of elbow irritation. Too bad, I'm sure he would been great during that pretend fight during the game.

Neither Clay Buchholz or Francisco Liriano were stellar in their spring training starts on Wednesday, but Buchholz and his Red Sox teammates were able to edge out Liriano and the Twins 12-7.

Cameron Maybin hit two and his teammates added 3 more homers in the Marlins 13-7 victory over the Cardinals.

The Astros will be without right-hander Felipe Paulino for at least a month due to a pinched nerve inhis upper right arm.

The Blue Jays are down a pitcher after Casey Janssen found out he had a torn labrum and will miss the remainder of the season.

Juan Lara who was injured in a car accident in November was released and then resigned by the Indians to a minor league contract dropping him from the 40 man roster. The team will pay for his medical expenses.

The Mariners have dropped pitcher Horacio Ramirez. The pitcher was acquired during a trade with the Braves. For more Braves news, head over to our Braves Blog.

The Reds are one step closer to joining the Dodgers in a move west for spring training. The city of Goodyear, Arizona has agreed to fund the estimated $33 million it would take to move the Reds from Sarasota, Florida.

The Umpires had a funfilled night of bowling. Of course, the fun was for a good cause at the first annual BLUE for Kids World Series of Bowling.

Bill Wrigley, Jr. said his company has not decided whether they would bid for naming rights for Wrigley Field if they should become available.

Good news, suspensions are unlikely for those players implicated in the Mitchell Report. Now can we finally move on?

Nascar Update:
Roush Fenway Racing officials have decided not appeal the penalties levied against the 99 Ford driven by Carl Edwards.

Tony Stewart is still bashing goodyear. So we'll take this time to point out a funny post that ranks Tony's rant against other all-time greats.

Kasey Kahne on the rise? Doesn't it seem like he can only pull it together in even numbered years? So that means 2008 will great for Kasey.

She has a crazy racing pedigree that includes an uncle that won the Nascar Cup Championship so it's no surprise that she's looking to climb the racing ranks. Click here to learn about Chrissy Wallace.

Ned Jarrett will be waving the green flag at the start of the Food City 500 while his son Dale drives in his final Cup series race.
