Yankees Partner with Hard Rock Cafe

Last week, the Yankees were asking the tax payers of New York to fork over $400 million and today, I think I know why. No it’s not because digging up cement for a planted David Ortiz jersey is more expensive than you think, it’s because the Yankees new digs will have a Hard Rock Café. Yeah, because when I go to a baseball stadium I always think, you know what this place needs, an over priced restaurant with memorabilia from overrated musicians.

Alex Rodriguez helped announce the new attraction on Wednesday, signing a large guitar and posing for pictures. Because come on, who would be a better spokesperson for a chain restaurant like the Hard Rock? The Café and a new venture between the Yankees and Seminole Hard Rock Entertainment, NYY Stake will both be open to the public year round and available to those patrons who don’t have tickets for the day’s game. Of course, those fans should take note; you will not be able to see the field from either restaurant. So let me get this straight, you’ll be paying through the nose to eat at Yankee Stadium, but you’ll have to watch the game on a TV like the people at the ESPN Zone in Times Square? Just when you think the Yankees can’t come up with any other ideas to fleece their fans, they bring you this!
