Mets pitchers lend grounds crew a helping hand

Last night's Mets/Diamondbacks game had a bit of an univited spectator, Mother Nature. While the grounds crew raced to get the tarp on the field, Mets relievers Billy Wagner and Scott Schoeneweis ran over from the bullpen to give the crew a little helping hand. After a little bit of youtube investigating, I found this clip from a fan. Enjoy the commentary:

Wagner and Schoeneweis (click here for photos) highlighted a new trend in baseball, benevolence, which apparently started with the Phillies last year who helped out the Rockies' grounds crew during a violent storm at Coors Field.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
