Best Buy 400

Winner: Kyle Busch

Recap: The big headline coming out of Dover this weekend was not Kyle Busch’s fourth Cup Series win this season but the big crash that took out six of the top 12 chase contenders. On lap 19, Elliott Sadler’s #19 Best Buy Dodge came down on David Gilliland’s #38 sending Sadler into the wall and collecting the likes of Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kevin Harvick and last week’s race winner Kasey Kahne. Kahne’s was able to return to the track quickly, but Stewart, Hamlin, Earnhardt, Harvick and Clint Bowyer’s were not causing all of them to finish 35th or worse. Meanwhile, Kyle Busch dominated the second half of the race completing a very up and down day for JGR.

Shout Outs: Even though Busch’s car was in victory lane, it was a very good day for Roush Fenway Racing which saw three of its cars, Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth finish in the top 5, while Jamie McMurray and David Ragan finished 10th and 15th respectively.

Disappointments: Six of the 12 Chasers finished 31st or worse thanks to a lap 19 crash that took out a large section of the field. The big crash caused for some big shake-ups in the points standings, none more painful than Denny Hamlin who dropped five places.
