Popo News

There were so many law related stories yesterday that I decided to give you a run down of what happened.

Carmelo Anthony entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of driving under the influence. He was sentenced one year probation, with 24 hours of community service and $1,000 in fees and court costs in addition to the two game suspension the Nuggets imposed on him. Melo had been arrested on April 14th after the popo noticed him weaving on Interstate 25. Watch out Carmelo, because the popo are on your tail!

Arfat Fadel was arrested in connection with the robbery and beating of Oakland Raiders receiver Javon Walker. Walker had been robbed of about $3,000 in cash and $100,000 in jewelry and then beaten and left on a Las Vegas street. A second man is wanted for the crime. Watch out Arfat, because the popo are on your tail!

Alabama linebacker Jimmy Johns will not be able to enjoy his senior year after being arrested and charged with five counts of distributing occaine and possession of Ecstasy pills. The popo has sucessfully purchased drugs from Johns five times over the span of a week and a half before receiving a warrent to search his off campus apartment. Johns was later dismissed from the football team and became the 10th Alabama player to be arrested in the last year. Watch out Jimmy, because the popo are on your tail!

Not to be out done, Clemson safety DeAndre McDaniel has some explaining to do after he allegedly covered his girlfriend's head with a comforter and began choking her. She also claimed he punched her in the head, face and chest before pushing her down a flight of stairs. The woman, a sophmore at the school, was treated at a local hospital for a cerviacal sprain and contusions. Goodness, a gun works quicker, not that I condone that, but who does this sort of crap? Allegedly DeAndre! So watch out Mr. McDaniels, because the popo are on your tail!

After viewing Shaq's attempt at rapping, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said he would like Mr. O'Neal's badge back because of his use of "racially derogatory word and other foul language." Well, I hope it was worth it, because Shaq, the popo are on your tail!

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
