Racing for a Cure

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and while watching qualifying for the Bank of America 500 we noticed two drivers who were looking pretty cute in pink!

Bobby Labonte
Bobby's #43 Cheerio's Dodge was transformed into the "Pink for a Cure" Dodge for this weekend. General Mills donated $2 million to Susan G. Komen Foundation which raises money for various Breast Cancer causes. To learn more click here. Petty Enterprises encourages its fans to head over to Pink Together which is an online community that brings together people who have been touched by Breast Cancer. General Mills will donate $1 to anyone who shares his/her story on that site. Finally, Bobby Labonte will be auctioning off his Cure uniform and helmet on http://www.komen.org/ and http://www.bobbylabonte.com/.

David Gilliland
David Gilliland's normal #38 M&Ms Ford has turned pink to celebrate M&Ms limited edition pink candies. M&Ms will donated 10% from sales of its My Promise Blend M&Ms to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to honor their 25th anniversary. You can purchase them here or at the track. They have already promised a $550,000 gift. As if you ever needed a reason to buy these sweet treats, helping those who have been affected or are affected by Breast Cancer should have you buying this stuff by the truck load!
