NASCAR Update:
Doug Richert is out at Team Red Bull. Brian Vickers and the #83 Toyota will have Randy Cox sitting a top the pit box starting this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Carl Edwards went into damage control on Tuesday following a confrontation with teammate Matt Kenseth on pit road following Sunday's race at Martinsville. Edwards told reporters he and his teammates have to become closer like the Hendrick guys.
Clint Bowyer will race the entire Nationwide Series season in 2008 following in the footsteps of his Richard Childress Racing teammate Kevin Harvick who won the Series title in 2006. He will be sponsored by BB&T.
Furniture Row is finalizing a deal to keep Joe Nemechek in their car for 2008, 09 and 10.
Sad news, dirt track racer Ryan Bard died on Monday after crashing duirng qualifying at the Abilene Speedway over the weekend. Bard was only 23 years old.

Two Bengals ticket takers, Timothy Clifford and Keith Johnson, have bee charged with theft after taking money from fans to allow them into the sold out Bengals game against the New York Jets. Watch out Timmy and Keithy, because the popo are on your tail!
News & Notes: The wildfires in San Diego have postponed San Diego State University's football game against BYU to December 1st. The Chargers game is still up in the air...Meanwhile, the Lakers-Utah Jazz preseason game scheduled to be played in San Diego on Thursday was canceled...The NFL will shorten their draft to 10 minute intervals during the first round, seven minutes in the second and five minutes from their on...The Buffalo Bills will start Trent Edwards instead of J.P. Losman in their game with the Jets on Sunday...It was not a good year for first round draft picks in the NBA. First, the number one draft pick Greg Oden was sidelined for the year after knee surgery and now the second pick in the draft Kevin Durant left the game on crutches with an ankle injury...Luckily it's only the preseason for the Heat who suffered their first ever winless preseason with their loss to the Spurs...And finally, Hoover High School, which was featured in the MTV series "Two a Days" will have to forfeit all games that wide reciever Tristan Purifoy played in and pay a $2,000 fine after the Alabama High School Athletics Association ruled the Hoover illegally recruited and transfer Purifoy.
UPDATE: McLaren has filed an appeal with FIA to get four cars disqualified from last weekends Brazilian Grand Prix. If two of the three drivers who finished fourth, fifth, sixth are found to have doctored their fuel, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, who finished seventh, would move up in the finishing order and take away the Formula1 title from Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen. The fourth driver finished 10th.
