Will Cleveland Rock the Sox?

Baseball Update:
Thursday's Schedule
Red Sox @ Indians; 8 PM/est on FOX and ESPN Radio
Probable Starters
Indians: C.C. Sabathia (0-1)
Red Sox: Josh Beckett (1-0)

Baseball Notes: Just because it was an off day didn't mean there wasn't any news coming out of Cleveland. Like Manny Ramirez's mouth running quote, "It doesn't matter how things go for you. We're not going to give up. We're just going to go and play the game, like I've said, and move on. If it doesn't happen, so who cares? There's always next year. It's not like the end of the world or something. Why should we panic?"...Getting back to the game, on Tuesday Kenny Lofton stole his 34th career post season base breaking Ricky Henderson's stolen base record...Torii Hunter is not opposed to going to the Nationals. Really?...Rick Krantiz was named the new pitching coach for the Orioles taking over for Leo Mazzone...Rockies' World Series tickets are available only on online.

NASCAR Update:
Ricky Rudd will test his shoulder during practice at Martinsville this weekend. Rudd survived the Bank of America 500 at Lowe's on Saturday night but Martinsville is a completely different animal.

Matt Kenseth who is currently sitting 12th in the points figures his luck has got to change sometime and hopefully before 2008!

Mark your calendars for November 29th. That's the date of the first ever "Stewie Awards" given to you by Tony Stewart on his Sirius Radio show. (via jayski)

Popo in my crib News:
A woman has accused New Jersey Nets guard Jason Kidd of groping her at Manhattan club Tenjune this month. This isn't the best development in an already messy divorce battle between Jason and his estranged wife Joumana. Watch out Jason, because the popo are on your tail!

University of Alabama defensive lineman Brandon Fanney pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct stemming from a July altercation outside a nightclub. Watch out Brando, because the popo are your tail!

Meanwhile, Iowa football player Anthony Bowman pleaded not guilty to charges that he used stolen credit cards on a spending spree in 2006. A trial date was set for January 28. Watch out Tony, because the popo are on your tail!

News & Notes: After six games, the Atlanta Thrashers have fired Bob Hartley after starting the season without a win...In demotion news, the Falcons have moved Joey Harrington to the bench and are replacing him this weekend with Byron Leftwich...Pitt's head coach Dave Wannstedt tore his Achilles' tendon and missed practice on Tuesday. It was probably better that he was away from the team...The NFL has reinstated Koren Robinson after a year long suspension...In I didn't even realize he wasn't playing news, David Beckham may be back with the LA Galaxy. Haven't we conclude that this experiment didn't work...World ice dancing champion Maxim Staviski has taken full blame for a fatal car accident he was involved in in August...And finally, Kobe Bryant practiced with the Lakers on Wednesday and is planning to play in their exhibition game.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Karen, born the same day Reggie Jackson hit those three homeruns!

It's been fun blogging with you,
