Breaking Braves News

The Braves have traded all-star short stop Edgar Renteria to the Detroit Tigers for two prospects, Jair Jurrjens and Gorkys Hernandez. This trade will help the Braves starting rotation by adding a young arm into the mix with veterans John Smoltz and Tim Hudson. It will also allow the Braves another option if they are unable to get a solid centerfielder to replace Andruw Jones through free agency. The Braves will be able to plug in Yunel Escobar at short stop to replace Renteria.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
