It's no more Joe...Torre for the Yankees

Foxsports is reporting that Joe Torre has rejected a deal with the Yankees that would have given Joe a $2.5 million pay cut. Torre, accompanied by GM Brian Cashman and CEO Lonn Trost flew down to Tampa to take a meeting with Hal, Hank, George and Luke Skywalker Steinbrenner at the southern Yankees compound. (Is it just me or has that place had more reporters, helicopters and news cameras than Le Cirque Lodge Treatment Center with a recovering Lindsay Lohan?) Torre held the managerial post for the Yankees since 1995 giving the Bronx Bombers four titles along with 12 playoff appearances but after 10 days of will they or won't they keep him, Joe watch is officially over. Now onto replacement Joe watch! Will it be Joe Girardi (Popo's pick)? Or maybe Donny Baseball? Or maybe Hal Steinbrenner, he's awful fiesty isn't he?

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
