After the Cubs season ended during the first round of the playoffs, the resurfacing project began at Wrigley Field. While tearing up the infield, a bulldozer operator found a little suprise, goal posts. Seems after the 1970 football season where the Bears played in Wrigley, the team decided to take down the goal posts but not the cement blocks they were attached to. When asked what to do with them, Roger Bossard who is over seeing the project yelled to "toss them out!" With the remodel, the Cubs will be the final team to "install a modern drainage system." The project is expected to take 6 to 7 weeks, weather permitting. (source)
It's been fun blogging with you,
