Mother's day comes early for the Wild

The Minnesota Wild decided to take the player's mothers along for their next road trip. The Wild had taken along the dad's last year but decided to extend the offer to the women who gave birth to them. Wild Coach Jacques Lemaire expressed his approval:

"Because every time there is something, it's the father. The father gets it, and
the mother never gets nothing. And they (mothers) are the ones who spent a lot
of time with (players), and they're the ones who fed them and showed them how to
walk and all that. And took them to the arena most of the time, because I know
my wife did that with the kids. I wasn't there in the arenas; my wife was, every
morning. Six o'clock, she was there."
I couldn't have said it better Jacques. Of the 25 players, 17 moms and 7 staff member moms will accompany the team to road games in Phoenix, Anaheim and Los Angeles.
