In the great tradition of UNC alumni like Michael Jordan, Ty Lawson has hit it big at the casinos. Lawson, who is in Detroit for the NCAA tournament, won $250 in about an hour at the Greektown casino playing craps.
Ah, but this isn’t the first time Lawson or any of his other UNC teammates have hit the casinos for some fun. Lawson mused:
"The only time I lost was in Reno; that's when everybody on the team lost," he said. "It's the only place I lost. The other five or six times I did gamble, I won at least $500."
While not illegal by NCAA standards, or the government for that matter since Ty is 21, the move is a bit questionable. I mean who doesn’t remember the episode of 90210 when Brandon gets involved in gambling. It’s a slippery slop my friends.
