Belly full of Crab Fries

Baseball: The Braves hit their fourth and fifth homeruns of the season as they blanked the Phillies 4-0. (For my take on the game click here)...In a rematch of the 2008 ALCS, the Red Sox topped the Rays, 5-3...Reigning NL Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum may have only lasted three innings, but the Giants offense were able to make up for it, knocking down the Brewers, 10-6...Jeff Keppinger drove in the winning run for the Astros in the tenth, as they slipped past the Cubs, 3-2...With two outs in the ninth, the Twins were able to rally past the Mariners, 6-5...Jim Thome's 3-run homey lifted the White Sox past the Royals, 4-2...Bronson Arroyo will pitch on Thursday for the Reds after receiving a cortisone shot...Muhammad Ali, Bill Cosby and Hank Aaron have been selected by MLB for this year's Beach Awards.

Basketball: The Hornets clinched a playoff birth with a 93-87 win...Yao Ming's double-double helped secure the Rockets 93-83 victory over the Magic...After beating the Kings 122-104, the Lakers are within a half game of the Cavs for the home court advantage throughout the playoffs.



College Basketball: Congratulations to the UCONN women's team for finishing off another perfect season with their 76-54 romp over Louisville...Ratings were down for the Men's final, but that didn't seem to bother UNC fans who celebrated the team's arrival on Tuesday...Congrats to Pitt's Jamie Dixon on being named Naismith men's coach of the year...Player of the Year Blake Griffin is heading to the NBA draft...DeMarcus Cousins will follow John Callipari to Kentucky. Memphis has also granted Xavier Henry his release.

Football: Former Cowboys QB Troy Aikman thinks Dallas made a good decision by ditching T.O...The Bengals have signed Tank Johnson. I don't know if this a match made in heaven or one made in a prison cell...According to his agents, B.J. Raji did not fail a drug test. I think I would believe it coming from someone a bit more neutral.

Hockey: The Flyers clinched a spot in the playoffs with their 2-1 edging of the Panthers. Florida's loss and the Rangers 3-1 victory over the Habs, gives the Rangers sole possession of the eight spot in the East...Joining the list of playoff bound teams was the Penguins, who beat the Lightning, 6-4. Sidney Crosby reached the 100 point mark with two goals in 64 second...The Hurricanes won a club record 9th straight by embarrassing the Islanders, 9-0...The Maples leafs routed the Devils, 4-1 with Christian Hanson, the son of Slap Shot star Dave Hanson, scoring his first career goal. How long does it take before you stop being the son of and just start being member of?

Nascar: With a lack of sponorship, Earnhardt Ganassi Racing has shut down operations on the #8 car...Michael Waltrip Racing has announced the signing of Ryan Truex, the 17 year old brother of Nascar star Martin Truex, Jr.
