Baseball: The Yankees open up their $1.5 billion Stadium today. But before taking on the Indians on Thursday, they knocked off the Rays, 4-3...It wasn't all smiles for the Bombers. Outfielder Xavier Nady underwent an MRI on Wednesday after hurting his elbow on Tuesday...Rays third baseman Evan Longoria will miss two games for family reasons...The results were not good and he'll be out for a while...Ian Kinsler had quite a night, along with hitting for the cycle, he was a perfect 6 for 6 and drove in 4 runs as the Rangers obliterated the Orioles, 19-6...Tim Wakefield flirted with a no-no, but lost it in the eighth inning of the Red Sox 8-2 victory over the A's...Ken Griffey, Jr. hit his 400th homerun as a Mariner, the M's rolled over the Angels, 11-3...The Marlins improved to 7-1, downing the Braves, 10-4...Of all people, Oliver Perez helped pitch the Mets to a 7-2 victory and their first ever win at CitiField...Jason Marquis dazzled in a one run, seven inning performance against his old club, the Chicago Cubs. The Rockies went on to a 5-2 win...Sad news, former broadcaster Merle Harmon has died. He was just 82.

Basketball: Uh-oh, Doc Rivers says Kevin Garnett miss all of the playoffs with a strained right knee...The Spurs clinched the 3rd seed with a 105-98 defeat of the Hornets...While the Mavs picke dup the 6th spot after beating the Rockets, 95-84...With LeBron James on the bench, the Cavs fell to the 76ers, 111-110, falling to 39-2 at home...Even though he missed his second straight game, Dwyane Wade picked up his first ever scoring title as the Heat outlasted the Pistons, 102-96 in OT.

Football: Does anyone want Anquan Boldin? Anyone? Boldin? Boldin? Anyone?...Maurice Jones-Drew signed a five year, $31 million contract that includes $17.5 million in guaranteed money...Michael Vick is shopping around a reality TV show. OMG this is so going to be better than Being Bobby!


Hockey: The Rangers scored two power play goals on their way to a 4-3 victory over the Capitals. New York holds a 1-0 lead. Can we just end it now, because I fear it will only go down from here for the Blueshirts...Who said you need momentum going into the playoffs? The Devils certainly didn't have any mojo and they easily bested the streaking Hurricanes, 4-1 to take the early 1-0 lead...The Penguins rocked the Flyers, 4-1. The Pens lead 1-0...The Canucks held onto a 2-1 victory over the Blues to take a 1-0 lead...Craig MacTavish is out as Oilers head coach.
