Preds game almost called for weather?

Should it be any surprise that during the Nashville Predators game against the Hurricanes on Tuesday that the game was almost interrupted due to a major storm that tore through the southeast producing not hurricanes but rather tornados as it rolled on through?

''One of the referees came over with nine minutes to go and said we might have
to evacuate because of the weather,'' Predators coach Barry Trotz said. ''At
that time, it was still 0-0 and some of the guys on the bench thought maybe each
team would be given a point and we would go right to the shootout.''

The game proceeded but not without an announcement over the PA system which told fans to stay in the arena until they were "given permission to leave." The announcement was made again after the final buzzer sounded. Eventually, when officials deemed it safe, fans were allowed to exit the building. Oh, and the Predators notched one in the net to beat the Hurricanes 1-0. Goodness, if the Canes are not bringing the flu to your hometown, they are bringing terrible weather. Maybe they should be forced to just stay in North Carolina.
