Football Update:
The New York Giants beat the New England Patriots 17-14 in Super Bowl 42. Eli Manning was named MVP of the game and Bill Belichick is floating around in a tunnel somewhere hoping that if the his players don't get on the field, the game will forever be stopped at :01 remaing. Too bad.

The Giants ticker tape parade through the streets of their adopted home (because we all know their real home is in East Rutherford, NJ, where it is no surprise that the Giants will celebrate their win first) of New York City is set for Tuesday. The parade begins at 11 AM on Broadway at Battery Place and continues to Chambers Street.
Now that Giants Defensive Coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has won a Super Bowl, he's able to spend his free time interviewing for head coaching jobs, like the one in Washington D.C.
Mercury Morris should send Eli and crew some flowers or candies for stopping the Patriots from tying the 72 Dolpins perfect record.
Ring...ring...ring...Mr. Goodell, it's Sen. Specter. So explain to me why you got rid of the tapes so quickly.
Ocho cinco is mucho pissed off. Apparently, if he doesn't get traded from the Bengals, he ain't playing in 08.
Congratulations to Darrell Green and Art Monk for making it into the Hall of Fame.

The Indians nailed down third baseman Casey Blake with a one year, $6.1 million contract.
Khalil Greene and the Padres settled on a two year, $11 million deal.
The Nationals locked up reliever John Rauch with a two year, $3.2 million contract.
The Dodgers signed Joe Beimel for one year worth $1.925 million.
Andy Pettitte is meeting with a congressional committee to talk about steriods in baseball on Monday.
He may not be signed, but Barry Bonds is not retired, so anyone still looking for an elderly DH freshly off the juice who may have to miss a few games while he ties up his legal problems, give Bonds a call.
Braves News:
Tim Hudson is not afraid of Johan Santana. Thank goodness, because I'm a little nervous over here!!

Popo in my crib News:
Nine people were arrested for allegedly selling fake Super Bowl tickets to unsuspecting fans for thousands of dollars. The criminals actions were tipped off to the popo after a Massachusetts couple reported buying fake tickets on a Scottsdale, AZ street. Watch out fake ticket sellers, because the popo are on your tail.
Along with the fake tickets, the popo seized over $300,000 worth of counterfeit merchandise and the 20 people selling them. Among the items, there were about 500 jerseys and 2,000 t-shirts. They were also selling fake autographed jerseys from the likes of Tom Brady, Dan Marino and Ronnie Lott. Watch out counterfeir merchandise sellers, because the popo are on your tail!
Saints defesnive end Charles Grant was stabbed in the neck in an incident at a Blakely, GA nightclub where a pregnant woman was shot and killed. Grant was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released. Currently, there are no suspects. But watch out murders, because the popo are on your tail!
Freda Ann Veitch, the woman who was killed when former Yankee Jim Leyritz crashed his SUV into her car actually wasn't as sweeky clean as you may have thought. She actually was driving her car with a blood alcohol level of 0.18. So if both people involved in an accident are drunk, do they both get DUIs. I guess in this case it doesn't really matter. Watch out drunkards, because the popo are on your tail!
News & Notes: Was it a sign of things to come when the Rangers came from behind 3-0 only to score five unanswered goals to beat the Candiens 5-3, I'd like to think so...Kobe and the Lakers wizzed past Washington 103-91...The Pistons breazed past the Mavericks 90-67...North Carolina survived a scare by Florida State, 84-73 in OT....Olympic sprinter Maurice Greene has announced his retirement. Good call, get out before the tests come back positive...Be careful who you piss off Spain, Formula One might just take away your race for your racist comments targeted at F1 driver Lewis Hamilton...Robbie Gordon has partnered with Gillett Evernham Motorsports.
