Dirt and the City: Knicks feud escalates

The New York Post is reporting that Isiah Thomas has drawn a very big line in the sand and will not allow Stephon Marbury to attend anymore Knicks home games. Marbury, who underwent ankle surgery on January 22nd, wants to help support his team by sitting on the bench during games at Madison Square Garden, but Thomas is not having it.

Thomas has even gone so far to insinuate that Marbury's days in New York maybe numbered. When referring to his back court for next season, Starbury's name was noticeably absent. When reporters gave him an opportunity to correct his omission, he never backed down. Marbury has one year left on his $21 million contract, but that year is looking increasingly like it will be played out somewhere else, that is, if anyone wants to take him.

It's been said that Thomas is blaming Marbury for the Knicks horrible play referring to an incident in November when he Marbury flew back to New York after being told he would not start, that has triggered the Knicks' demise. But of course, horrible coaching and inability to motivate your team have nothing to do with their 18-39 record.

For his part, Marbury has been rehabbing at the Knicks Westchester facility. But all of his work maybe for nothing if Isiah has his way. Maybe if the Knicks hire Kiki Vandeweghe as the new GM, they can finally get rid of Isiah!
