More Giants Celebrating: The Super Bowl Round Up

I promise tomorrow I'll tone down the Giants talk, but today I continue my celebrating. Here's some news from around the web.

The Giants kicked off their celebrating in Arizona last night and according to this NY Post article Michael Straham is coming back. He told a reporter, "one more year," when he was asked if he was ready to retire.

On Tuesday, Big Blue will be hitting the New York Stock Exchange before heading to a tickertape parade through lower Manahattan. "New York Giants players and executives will ring the opening bell at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at the New York Stock Exchange in celebration of their 17-14 upset victory over the New England Patriots in XLII Super Bowl."

This year's Super Bowl could end up being the most watched ever. The 1996 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers currently holds the record at 94.1, but that is about 8 million short of the all-time most watched TV program, the final episode of MASH.

Lastly, New England was ready for a celebration that never happened. Instead of the rowdy crowd that littered the streets during the Red Sox victory celebration a couple of months ago, the streets remained pretty quiet. Too bad, the alcohol was limited as a safety measure, people really needed something to drown their sarrows in!

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
