It's too late to apologize

Baseball Update:
Andy Pettitte addressed the media, taking questions about his recent deposition and apologizing for his HGH use. Fellow Yankees Derek Jeter, Mariono Rivera and Jorge Posada accompanied their teammate to the press conference.

In other apology news, Eric Gagne says he's sorry to his new team, the Milwaukee Brewers, especially since he's pretty much going to take their money and run.

Add the Washington Nationals catcher Paul Lo Duca to the I'm sorry for my mistakes team. The list keeps growing longer by the day.

Bud Selig is stilling going through the Mitchell Report, reviewing cases of players named in the 400+ document. Here's a thought, just MOVE ON!

Yankees VP Hank Steinbrenner says football has a bigger steriod problem and should be scrutinized more than baseball.

The Rangers have signed second baseman Ian Kinsler to a five year, $22 million deal.

The Nationals signed Bret Boone to a minor league contract.

Francisco Rodriguez could be playing in his final year with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The Florida Marlins are putting the finishing touches on a $515 million stadium proposal. In the proposal, the Marlins would pay only $155 million for the new stadium which would open in 2011.

Tommy Lasorda will manage the Dodgers in a few exhibition games when part of the team heads to China taking current manager Joe Torre with them. Lasorda will manage over the remaining players.

Nascar Update:
Ratings were up for the 50th annual Dayton 500.

Jacques Villeneuve has been placed in a holding pattern over at Bill Davis Racing. Until a sponsor is found, the 1995 Indy 500 winner will be a spectator with Mike Skinner expected to replace him at California.

John Salley wants to own a Sprint Cup team. Salley, have you talked to Terry Bradshaw or Troy Aikman? They can tell you it's not as easy as it looks.

Popo in my crib News:
Italian tennis player Giorgio Galimberti was found guilty of betting on tennis and was suspended for 100 days and was given a fine of $35,000. Galimberti who is currently ranked No. 1,009 with a highest ranking of No. 115 was convicted of betting on specified matches from June 2003 to January 2006. Watch out Giorgio, because the popo are on your tail!

Tennessee's punter Britton Colquitt lost his scholarship and was suspended five games after being arrested on charges of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident on Sunday. Colquitt was so intoxicated on Sunday morning, that he was unable to finish the field sobriety test. But this isn't Brit's first run-in with the popo, he was supsended in 2004 for multiple alochol related incidents. Well, then I guess it's a good thing that you're undergoing alcohol related conseling. Watch out Britton, because the popo are on your tail!

News & Notes: Ok, it's looking like Jason Kidd will be heading to Dallas for realz, yo! With Keith Van Horn coming out of retirement, the Nets would get Devin Harris, DeSagana Diop, Trenton Hassell (perfect name for Jersey) Maurice Ager, a first round draft pick in '08 and '10 and $3 million bucks all for Jason Kidd and Malik Allen...Kevin Garnett is almost a go for the Celtics game against the Nuggetts...Texas easily handled Texas A&M 77-50...Indiana suffered another blow when forward D.J. White sprained his left knee and could miss the hoosiers' game against Purdue, even though coach Sampson has said that White has been cleared. The team's facing enough problems thanks to coach Sampson and need to Curt Schilling a 21 year old!...LSU's Ryan Perrilloux, sure-fire shot at starting QB has taken a hit after he was suspended for violating team rules...The Chicago Bears have released fromer Pro Bowler Muhsin Muhammad...Sad news, the Calgary Flames prospect Mickey Renaud collapsed and died at his home in Tecumseh. He was only 19...Wayne Gretzky picked up his 100th win as a coach of the Phoenix Coyotes with their 4-0 shut out of the Kings.
