I have but just one enemy and it's name is tree pollen. yuck!

Hey guys sorry for the overall lack of posts this week, allergy season is in full gear and my eyes are not happy. Anyway, here's the news from the past two days:

Baseball Update:
The Braves continue to roll notching a 5-4 win over the Padres to sweep the series. Of course pitchers Jo-Jo Reyes and Buddy Carlyle exited the game early, they were still able to win their first one run game of the season! If only they could play all of their games at home.

Unfortunately for Atlanta, reliever Peter Moylan will be out for the rest of the season after undergoing elbow surgery.

It's May and I think we may need to start taking the Marlins seriously following their 7-2 win, completing their three game sweep of the Brewers.

The Yankees avoided a sweep by the Indians due in part to homeruns by Johnny Damon, Robinson Cano, Wilson Betemit and Jason Giambi in the Bombers 6-3 win.

The Indians traded outfielder Jason Michaels to the Pirates for a player to be named later.

Josh Beckett got the better of the Tigers in the Red Sox 5-1 win.

Dioner Navarro hit a game winning grand slam in the 13th inning to propell the Tampa Bay Rays passed the Toronto Blue Jays, 8-3.

The Jays also received some bad news, placing both SS David Eckstein and John McDonald on the DL.

The Nationals placed both catchers Paul Lo Duca and Johnny Estrada on the DL.

The Phillies will have reigning MVP Jimmy Rollins back this Friday after missing almost a month with ankle injuries.

Brandon Webb became the first 8 game winner of the season in the D-Backs 8-3 victory over the Phillies.

In other good Dbacks news, pitcher Doug Davis is cancer free!

Richie Sexson took the crazy pills before playing on Thursday, charging the mound after getting a pitch he didn't like in the Mariners 5-0 loss to the Rangers. Click here for video. (Warning: No punches were thrown. LAME!)

NASCAR Update:
The Lady in Black calls the Sprint Cup drivers once again this weekend, but she's sporting some new clothes after the track was resurfaced during the off season yielding faster speeds by still forcing drivers to concentrate more on her than their fellow drivers. Darlington, the first super speedway in Nascar, beckons to a time gone by and helps link Nascar's future with its past. So who will walk away with the checkers at the Dodger Challenger 500 on Saturday night? You'll have to flip to FOX at 7 PM/est to find out.

Speeds were up during practice on Thursday.

Pink maybe the new blog, but Kyle Busch is not the new Dale Sr. according to Junior.

You thought it costs a lot to fuel up your SUV? How about fueling up a car that gets like 4 miles to gallon. Yeah, Nascar is definately feeling your pain!

Could Tony Stewart's future plans possibly include Indy? Goodness I hope so!

News & Notes: The Red Wings made some noise on Thursday decimating the Stars 4-1...A blood clot will likely keep Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen out of the Eastern Conference Finals...The Spurs hoped they made a statement with their 110-99 win over the Hornets...While the Celtics decided they're not fouling around anymore taking out the Cavs 89-73...Appartently 23 cent pizza is like a big thing in Cleveland after the popo had to be called in to manage lines at 86 area Papa John's who were basically giving away pizzas after insulting LeBron James. Now let's see, what other companies could they get to insult LeBron to get 23 cent stuff. Exxon maybe, how about McDonald's...The Knicks could have a new coach soon. The team has reportedly outlined a five year deal for Mike D'Antoni to take the position...Get your popcorn ready because the spygate tapes are out. But reportedly they're a little bit like Titanic all hype but ends up being hours of your life you'll never get back...More problems for Michael Vick, a judge has ordered the incarcerated quarterback to pay to a Canadien bank $2.4 million. Well there goes that signing bonus...West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins was taken to the hospital after he tripped and fell on the tarmac and hit his head. Well that was embarrassing...Dale Davis, a 78 year old blind man has bowled a perfect game. And here I am excited about bowling 150.

Check this out: So it maybe too late to turn on to a little show called "Reaper" on the CW. But if you're as big a fan as we are, then you'll be excited to read a little q&a with star Bret Harrison here. Also, Ray Wise who plays the Devil on the show was chosen as one of the top characters on TV. Click here to see who else made the list.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
