NHL Makes New Rule

Thanks to Sean Avery's creative tactics during the Rangers 4-3 OT loss to the Devils on Sunday, the NHL has made a new rule barring players from distracting goalies by standing in front of the goal and waving their hands and or sticks to purposely interfer with the goalie's ability to make a play. The new rule would mandate a minor penalty for unsportmanlike conduct. No news, as to whether a goalie punching an opposing player will result in any sort of penalty. Because apparently Brodeur was just defending himself.

I'm all for making new rules, but not during the season and certainly not during the playoffs. If you want to change the rules do it during the off season.
