Baseball Update:
In a very rare occurance, both the Mets and Yankees played in their home stadiums on Wednesday, with the Yankees routing the Red Sox, 15-9 in a game that literally went on forever. And across town the Mets cruised by the Nationals 5-2. The New York Rangers also played in their home arena, but more on that in the News & Notes section.
Speaking of New York, according to Forbes magazine the Yankees and Mets hold the two most valuable teams in baseball with the Yanks worth an estimated $1.306 billion and the Mets worth around $824 million.
The Cubs rolled over the Reds 12-3 but placed outfielder Alfonso Soriano on the DL.
It was a crazy game for the Rangers who defeated the Blue Jays 7-5 off of a wild pitch in the 14th inning.
The Dodgers scorched the Pirates 8-1 in Nomar Garciapara's return for LA.
The Tigers are starting to live up to the hype after knocking out the Indians 13-2. Edgar Renteria and Miguel Cabrera combined for two homeruns and 10 RBIs in Detroit's win.
In other good news for the Tigers news, Curtis Granderson, who has been on the DL since being breaking his hand in spring training says he's hopeful to start rehabing by Friday.
The Braves pitching trouble continues as starter Tim Hudson was pulled after only 58 pitches in Atlanta's 6-5 loss to the Marlins.
Felix Hernandez pitched a complete game in the Mariners 4-2 win over the Athletics.
Blacks in baseball are reaching twenty year lows and the Reds Ken Griffey, Jr. has an idea why they are moving away from baseball and towards other sports like basketball and football.
Jeff Idelson has been named the president of the national baseball hall of fame and museum.
Nascar Update:
David Pearson racing at Darlington. No, you did not just wake up from a coma, Pearson took to the newly paved track to "race" cup star Carl Edwards.
Boris Said is excited to get back in a stock car for this weekend's nationwide series race in Mexico.

News & Notes: The Penguins have cruised into the second round with a sweep of the Senators following Wednesday night's 3-1 win...Marc Staal avenged his game 3 bad luck with the deciding goal in the Rangers 5-3 win over the Devils. The Rangers are now just one win away from advancing in the playoffs...The Predators tied things up with a 3-2 win over the Red Wings...The NHL will not expand its regular season from 82 games to 84 games for the 2008-09 season...Off the strength of Jason Kidd's 100th career triple double, the Mavs stung the Hornets 111-98 guaranteeing them the seventh spot in the playoffs...The Knicks finished off their season on just the right note, losing to the Pacers 132-123 to close their season at 23-59...Could that have been the last game for Isiah Thomas. Knicks fans are praying for it to be true...The Governor got involved and now state senators are trying to postone a vote on moving the Sonics out of Seattle. I think it's great that they're trying to do this, but seriously, where were you two years ago?...Chad Johnson wants out of Cincinnati like yesterday. Plus he's totally not planning on going to mini-camp...By the way Pacman Jones, a trade will not get Roger Goodell to reinstate you any faster, so you may want to put in those papers now...Edward P. Roski, Jr. is hoping a new 75,000 seat stadium will help lure an NFL team to Los Angeles. Or maybe it could be home to that other football league. Is that league still in play or am I way behind on my professional football news?
