Last year, the New York Mets were hoping to turn around their early season struggles by collectively shaving their hair off. And this year, the Calgary Flames followed suit hoping that by getting Mohawks the team would be able to cruise through the playoffs and capture the Stanley Cup. Well just like the Mets, the hair transformation did not turn into playoff glory as the Flames were eliminated by the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday. (Dry those eyes Flames, at least you made it to the playoffs, the Mets fell apart with 17 games left in the regular season.) Well it just goes to show you haircutting will not bring you luck, but playoff beards, well that’s a different story.
