Recap: Kyle Busch proved you can never give up at Talladega after falling a lap down during the middle part of the race, Busch powered through getting himself back on the lead lap and coasting to his first ever win on the Alabama track. But in typical Talladega fashion, the race could not conclude without a couple of pile-ups with the final one forcing the race to end under caution.

Shout outs: Travis Kvapil who kept his nose as clean as possible driving his way to a sixth place finish for his #28 RYR Ford. Also to Juan Pablo Montoya who matched his Cup best on Oval tracks of 2nd place taking Chip Ganassi's threats to heart, I'm sure.

Disappointments: It was a rough day for many of the top 12 drivers going into Tallagdega as Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards all were involved in wrecks that lead them to finish 23rd or worse.

Next Race: Saturday @ Richmond International Raceway

It's been fun blogging with you,
