Jonathan Roy charged for Junior Hockey March Madness

A few months after a fracas between rival Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams the Quebec Remparts and Chicoutimi Saueneens highlighted their playoff game, goalie Jonathan Roy has been charged with one count of assault. Roy took it upon himself to get into the action, skating the length of ice before taking out Saueneens’ goalie Bobby Nadeau.

Remperts’ coach and GM Patrick Roy was suspended for five games and his son Jonathan was suspended for seven games because of the fists of glory demonstrated on the ice.

Watch out Jonathan, because the popo are on your tail!
