Dog meat is officially off the menu of designated Olympic restaurants in Beijing this year. Too bad, there’s nothing people outside of China enjoy more than eating man’s best friend. Beijing tourism officials are also asking owners of other eating places to discourage the use of dogs as a menu item as not to scare away tourists and have told waiters and waitresses to patiently suggest other items if a guest orders dog at their restaurant. I’ll let you in on a little secret there China, I’m pretty sure people are not going to get all Tony Stewart circa the brickyard 2003 when they are told that dog has been taken off the menu while the Olympics are in progress.
