John Bowker (San Francisco Giants)
First Baseman
The Giants are a young team filled with very talented and very attractive baseball players, so don’t be surprised that not one but two Giants appear on this list. Bowker not only caught my eye for his boyish good looks, but also for his tremendous June production. June was so good for him (.325 with 4 HRs and 19 RBIs); he’s currently up for Rookie of the Month.

Rickie Weeks (Milwaukee Brewers)
Second Baseman
Weeks may not be having as good a year as teammates and 2007 “Other All-Star” team members, J.J. Hardy and Ryan Braun, but this list doesn’t really relate to stats, it’s more about what’s on the outside and his outside is looking very good.

Honorable Mention: Ian Kinsler (Texas Rangers)
Third Baseman
Evan Longoria may have been confused for Eva Longoria last year, but in 2008 he’s making a name of his own. His year is going so well, he’s a finalist for the AL’s final All-Star slot, plus that big contract he signed in April isn’t too bad either.

Shortstop
Often overlooked, Hanley Ramirez has been getting it done in South Florida but with his spectacular year and the Marlins overachievement, Ramirez is finally getting some loving including being named to this year’s all-star team.

Outfielder
His numbers maybe a little off from last year, but he’s just as attractive as ever.

Jacoby Ellsbury came up just in time to collect a World Series ring, but since October, he’s been trading places with Coco Crisp and Manny Ramirez in the outfield, although ask any girl in Boston and I’m sure it’s no contest, Jacoby’s the cutest.

Josh Hamilton (Texas Rangers)
Outfielder
In the grand scheme of things, I doubt his selection to this very prestigious list (note sarcasm) ranks very high on his life events list, but Hamilton made this list as much for his talent (voted an AL All-Star starter by the fans) and his good looks as for his determination to clean-up his act and make a better life for his family.

Russell Martin (Los Angeles Dodgers)
Catcher
All I can say is, he supposedly dated Alyssa Milano. Alyssa freaking Milano. I’m pretty sure she has way better taste than I do, so yeah, he’s making the list this year.

Starter
Hughes hit Yankees lore in 2007 when he was forced to leave a game early while throwing a no-hitter. His 2008 hasn’t gone quite as planned, but if the multiple teenage girls wearing his name t-shirt at Yankee Stadium on Thursday are any indication, he’s the most attractive of big three young guns (Ian Kennedy and Joba Chamberlain).

Brian Wilson (San Francisco Giants)
Reliever
So I wasn’t going to do a 2008 list, until someone left a comment on last year’s list saying that I should add Brian Wilson’s name and then it got me thinking of the other players that didn’t make last year’s list and suddenly, well 2008 appeared. So partly for the fact that the suggestion kicked my butt into doing 2008 and partly because he was just named to the all-star game with teammate Tim Lincecum (2007 alum) and well partly because he is really cute, Mr. Wilson made our list.
