Who wears short shorts?

Football Update:
It was a valiant effort for the Giants, but like in the other 15 games the Patriots won, they were able to find a way to pick a part the Giants defense and bring Eli Manning back his old self in their 38-35 win. For his part, Manning only had one pick, that must be a record for the season. Meanwhile, Tom Brady, Randy Moss and the Pats set records of their own including most TD passes (Brady), TD receptions (Moss) and points scored (Pats).

Oh, and thanks to CBS, NBC and the NFL Network, 34.5 million people got a chance to watch the game.

Going into Sunday's game, the Redskins, Saints and Vikings had a chance to take the final NFC playoff spot, but it was the Skins with their 27-6 win over the Cowboys who will play next weekend.

...Devin Hester picked up his sixth kick off return for a TD of the season in the Bears 33-25 win over the Saints which ended their season early.

...And the Vikings saw their dreams of an extra week crash and burn with Denver's OT field goal in their 22-19 loss.

On the AFC side, Kerry Collins sparked the Titans 16-10 win over the Colts to slip into the playoffs.

Vinny Testaverde ended his NFL career with the Panthers in a 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Following their 17-9 loss to the Eagles, Marv Levy is expected to step down as GM of the Buffalo Bills.

Now that the season is over, DeAngelo Hall and couple of his Falcon teammates plan on visiting former teammate Michael Vick in prison. Is this like their version of scared straight? Because if it is, they should probably bring Pacman Jones along.

Baseball Update:
Former Brave Oscar Villarreal signed a two year, $2.85 million deal with the Astros. Villarreal was traded to Houston earlier in the offseason.

Speaking of the Astros, they will allow Miguel Tejada to play winter ball in the Dominican Republic. He has to build his strength now that he won't be able to play baseball on the juice.

Jamie Moyer and Raul Ibanez are not happy with Shane Monahan's claims that the Mariners locker room's culture forced him to turn to steroids and amphetamines.

Jose Canseco was underwelmed by the results of the Mitchell Report and plans to release a new book, "Vindicated" just in time for Opening Day 2008.
