got a win? because Miami still doesn't

Football Update:
The Giants kept it interesting on the road in Philadelphia allowing the Eagles a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds. But the goal post were too far away for Philly kicker David Ackers and the Giants escaped with a 16-13 win.

Tony Romo is increasing his legacy and we're not talking about with the ladies. Romo led his team to a touchdown in the final seconds, dispite a fumble by the QB, to complete the Cowboys 28-27 win over the Detroit Lions. I think you can still hear Romo's rally girls screaming right now.

(we'll update when a better video is posted)

Guaranteeing a win against an undefeated team that still yearns to have something to prove probably isn't a good idea. Just ask the Steelers who had their butts handed to them on a Stetson-sized platter in their 34-13 loss to the Patriots.

It was blow out city, baby with the Packers 38-7 win over the Raiders (and they picked up the NFC North title), the Broncos rocked the Chiefs 41-7, the Panthers got hammered by the Jaguars 37-6, the Vikings flew past the 49ers 27-7, the Bills kept the Dolphins winless with their 38-17 win and in the nighttime game, the Colts kicked the Ravens 44-20.

The Seahawks wrapped up the NFC West with thier 42-21 win over the Cardinals.

The Jets lost to the Browns and their fans continue their slutty, slutty ways. Can we start a petition to have the Jets play at the high school field in Rutherford so they can stop denegrating Giants Stadium with their grossness.

Baseball Update:
The Rangers and Milton Bradley have reached a tentative 1 year, $5 million agreement.

The Yankees signed reliever LaTroy Hawkins for 1 year, $3.75 million.

A report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has reliever Eric Gagne heading to the Brewers in 2008.

The Colorado Rockies have traded ulility infielder Jamey Carroll to the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named later. Carroll is in the final year of his two year contract.

Following the Tigers blockbuster deal that brought 3B Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis to Detroit, their 2007 third baseman Bradon Inge may be on his way out.

Arbitration news: Aaron Rowand declined the Phillies offer, as well as Eric Gagne and Pedro Feliz. While Mark Lorretta and Michael Barrett accepted arbitration from their respective teams. (Astros and Padres)

Braves Update:
Ron Mahay has rejected the arbitration offer from the Braves.

Lance Cormier will be released by the Atlanta Braves.

The Braves have opened new lux seats for the descriminating and money-filled fan. The new seats, which will offer the closest view of the field, will cost you between $275 and $300 a piece or $24,500 for season tickets. But besides the location, fans will be treated to unlimited food and beverage as well as valet parking and access to a lounge. Seats around the stadium will also cost you a little more, between 5 and 10 percent, except for the seats behind home plate. Minted the Henry Aaron Seats, they'll go up to $70 for a single game or $60 for season tickets.

Popo in my crib News:
Pacers guard Jamaal Tinsley was involved in a late night shooting outside of the Conrad Hotel. He had been partying at Cloud 9 nightclud and left with his entourage when the group realized they were being followed and stopped outside of the swanky hotel. Tinsley was not injured but one person was wounded at the scene. Tinsley is not a stranger to questionable incidents, he is awaiting a trial on charges of itimidation, battery and disorderly conduct stemming from a bar figth at 8 Seconds Saloon in February. While from all accounts, Tinsley is considered the victim in this incident, it hasn't stopped the Pacers from reprimanding Tinsley for being out too late (the popo were called at 3:40 AM) and has told him he must change his ways. Watch out shooters, because the popo are on your tail!
