Jim Leyritz had a busy two days, on Thursday he turned 44 and on Friday morning he slammed into another car while allegedly driving under the influence. The driver in the other car died at the scene after her car rolled over and she was ejected. Leyritz refused a Breathalyzer test and was taken to the station where he was booked and held on $11,000 bond. Leyritz was reportedly driving in Fort Lauderdale, FL when the accident happened.
Jim was best known for his three-run homer for the Yankees in game four of the 1996 World Series against the Atlanta Braves. While those were some dark times for me, I pretty sure Leyritz is in a bit of a bigger funk following this incident. Watch out Jimmy, because the popo are on your tail!
