Kurt Busch won? eh...

Sorry for posting so late, but here is today's news:

Braves Update:
The Braves went into extra innings on Sunday and actually came out winners thanks to Yunel Escobar's game winning single which drove in Jeff Francoeur. Escobar has been at short stop since the Braves placed Edgar Renteria on the DL. Chipper Jones was one hit away from the cycle and Mark Teixeira continues to impress by hitting a double. The Braves have the day off before heading up to Queens to take on the New York Mets.

Games behind NY Mets in NL East: 4.5
Games above .500: 6
NL Wild Card Leader: San Diego Padres

Braves Notes: The Braves have reactivated Willy Aybar after he successfully completed a rehab program. He is currently in the Braves minor league system...Corky Miller got his first start for the Braves on Sunday giving catcher Brian McCann two days off.

NASCAR Update:
Kurt Busch dominated on Sunday giving up the lead only during pit stops and for a short period after Greg Biffle's crash. He quickly passed Dale Earnhardt, Jr. for the lead on the track and when the race was over he also pass Junior in the standings taking over the final spot in the Chase.

Shout outs to: Hendrick Motorsports who had three cars in the top ten, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Casey Mears.

NASCAR Notes: Ray Evernham has completed his partial sale of Evernham Motorsports to George Gillett Jr.

News & Notes: Congratulations to Tom Glavine on picking up his 300th career win on Sunday in the Mets 8-3 win over the Chicago Cubs...Scott Baker held Cleveland scoreless in the Minnesota Twins 1-0 over the Indians...Maybe you want to rethink getting that hotdog the next time you head to an Angels game, after the stadium had 118 different verman violations over the past 2 1/2 years. And I thought Shea had problems...In the first pre-season game of the year, the Pittsburgh Steelers spanked the New Orleans Saints 20-7 in the Hall of Fame game on Sunday. But it's only pre-season right?...And finally, Tony Kanaan won the Firestone 400 on Sunday, the IRL's last race at Michigan International Speedway. The race included a scary crash that had points leader Dario Franchitti landing upside down and involved Ganassi teammates Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon. Luckily, Franchitti was able to walk away.
