Braves Update:
The Braves had Monday off and will begin a three game series with the NL East leading New York Mets tonight at Shea. The Braves are 6-3 against the Mets this season and are only 4.5 games behind them in the standings. I found a dollar on the ground today, and I hope that symbolizes the Braves luck this week. With the season dwindling down, the Braves have to take every opportunity given to them so they can advance in the standings. Let's go Braves! Coverage starts at 7:10 PM/est on SS.

Games behind New York Mets in NL East: 4.5
Games above .500: 6
NL Wild Card Leader: San Diego Padres

Braves Notes: David Justice has been elected into the Braves Hall of Fame. Justice was selected in the fourth round of the draft in 1985 by then GM Bobby Cox and took over for legend Dale Murphy in 1990 after Murphy was traded. Justice stayed with the Braves unitl 1996 when he was traded to the Cleveland Indians. Justice is now a broadcaster for the New York Yankees.

NASCAR News:
The second highest profile free agent this season has found a new home for 2008. After losing his ride to Dale Earnhardt, Jr. earlier this season, Kyle Busch has announced he will be in the #18 car for Joe Gibbs Racing. Gibbs, opposed to having Budweiser on the hood of one of his cars, ironically not opposed to having a controversial driver or two who doesn't always choose the correct FCC regulated words during interviews.

Popo in my crib News:
Jason Paul Rojas was suspended from the Florida Bar for 60 days after he kept the 2004 stolen Florida State national football trophy in his home. Rojas, son of former state rep. Luis Rojas, completed a diversion program and had all charges against him dropped. Rojas is a 2002 graduate of the University of Florida Law School. Watch out Jason, because the popo are on your tail!

UPDATE: New York Knicks Center Randolph Morris was arrested in Lexington, KY and charged with reckless driving on Tuesday morning. He was released on $100 bond. Morris at the time of his arrest, smelled of alcohol and had blood shot eyes but only had a blood alcohol level .069. Watch out Randolph, because the popo are on your tail!

News & Notes: Alfonso Soriano was placed on the DL with a torn quad. He is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. This is a big blow to the Chicago Cubs who are in a tight race for the NL Central with the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubbies also lost to the Houston Astros 2-1 in 10 innings on Monday...Curt Schilling took the loss in his first game back since being on the DL. The Red Sox went down 4-2 to the Los Angeles Angels on Anaheim...In bigger will he or won't he news than Michael Straham, Tank Johnson will make his first appearance for TNA wrestling on Thursday. My dreams are coming true...Steve Spurrier is pissed off after two of his recruits, who had signed to play football for South Carolina were denied addmission to the school. I would be too, what generates more money for the school, two students tutition or the football program?...Finally, in adversity makes winning even sweeter news, the Indianapolis Colts will be without defensive tackle Anthony McFarland for the season after he injured his knee in training camp. And the Denver Broncos first-round draft pick Jarvis Moss had a scare after twisting his knee during practice on Monday. Luckily, an MRI revealed his knee was ok and he was back in time for afternoon drills. So maybe Brady Quinn is making the right decision by not going to training camp and holding off any injuries. Nope, still an ass!
