I fought the law, but the law won

In this is so not going to help you get that starting job news, Notre Dame freshman quarterback Jimmy Cluasen was cited for transporting alcohol as a minor after he and a 23 year old friend were ticketed by the popo outside of a liquor store near the South Bend, IN campus of Notre Dame in June 2007. Clausen's friend was hit for inducing a minor to possess alcohol. Something tells me Jimmy didn't need any prodding. Watch out Jimmy, because the popo are on your tail!

In other college football arrest news, Alabama's starting cornerback Simeon Castille was arrested for disorderly conduct on Sunday. He was taken to Tuscaloosa County jail and released. Details of the incident have not been released, but I'm hoping they're good, like involving a stun gun or maybe public urination good. Watch out Simeon, because the popo are on your tail!

UPDATE: Law of three comes into effect today, as two West Virginia football players were charge with transferring and receiving stolen property on Sunday. Both James Thomas, 18 and Ellis Lankster, 21 were competing for starting spots with the #3 ranked Mountaineers. This reminds me of a little story out of Storrs, CT...Watch out Jamie and Ellie, because the popo are on your tail!

UPDATE 2: Seriously, when it rains, it pours. This one comes to us from Iowa where two football players were arrested for charging upwards of $2,000 on stolen credit cards. Anthony Bowman and Dominique Douglas were arrested when they attempted to make purchases at Hatworld, C&E Fashions and Sneakerhead. How about Best Buy kids? Think bigger than some $20 hat. Well $2,000 would buy a lot of $20 hats...Watch out Tony and Dom because the popo are on your tail! (via AOL Fanhouse)

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
