It's just like Deja Vu

Braves Update:
Going to bed last night, the Braves had a comfortable 9-5 lead, but when I awoke and turned on Sportscenter I learned I had missed the seven additional innings and the eventual Braves 12-11 loss to the Houston Astros. After loading the bases in the eighth inning, the Astros' Mike Lamb hit a game tying grand slam. This inning also saw Braves' shortstop Edgar Renteria leave the game with an injured ankle, which may prove to be more costly if he has to miss an extended period of time. The Braves battled back in the 12th tying the game off of a Matt Diaz homerun, only to see Astros pitcher Jason Jennings hit a game winning pinch single in the 14th inning. The Braves hope to put this game behind them as they open up a series against the Colorado Rockies on Friday. The game starts at 7:35 PM/est on TBS.

Games behind NY Mets in NL East: 4.5
Games above .500: 5
NL Wild Card Leader: Los Angeles Dodgers

NASCAR Notes:
One week after an exciting race at the Brickyard, the Cup boys head to the mountains of Pennsylvania to take on the only rovel on the schedule. Pocono presents its own set of problems for drivers because of its distinct three turn layout and flat surface. Look for previous winners like Carl Edwards and Ryan Newman to do well on Sunday along with Tony Stewart who is currently riding a two race winning streak. Oh and look for me, as I will be attending the race this weekend! The Pennsylvania 500 starts at 1 PM/est on ESPN.

Popo in my Crib News:
Tayna Tucker's ex-fiance stole a U-Haul which contained Tucker's jewelry and wardrobe. The truck was found in Las Vegas with a nasty note inside. The contents of the U-Haul were later located. Jerry Laseter was arrested and charged with felony theft on Saturday. Watch out Jerry, because the popo are on your tail!

News & Notes: Too bad they didn't have this say 30 years ago, the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted steriods awareness day for approximately 100 little leaguers on Thursday before the Dodgers game against the San Francisco Giants. A few hours later, the Dodgers lost 4-2 in a game where pitcher Barry Zito shined and hitter Barry Bonds failed to get his record tying homerun...After the devastating bridge collapse on Wednesday, the Minnesota Twins will resume play on Friday at the Metrodome for their series with division rivals the Cleveland Indians...the Braves weren't the only team facing injuries on Thursday, in his Phillies debut, Kyle Lohse was hit by a Jacque Jones linedrive and left the game after the first inning. Luckily for the Phills, their bullpen was satisfactory but their offense was a savior in their 10-6 win over the Chicago Cubs...The Florida Marlins team was informed that their right handed pitcher, Josh Johnson, will be forced to undergo Tommy John surgery and will likely miss all of 2008...In 45 is the new 25 news, Evander Holyfield will face Sultan Ibragimov in October for the WBO Championship just six days before his 45th birthday...Finally, in a scary training camp incident on Thursday, Denver Broncos linebacker Warrick Holdman suffered a spinal cord injury after a helmet to helmet collision. Holdman was able to move his arms and legs before being carted off the field and taken to a local hospital.
