Bird Strike



Baseball: A bird strike knock down the Royals chance at a victory as Shin-Soo Choo knocked a hit off of bird that allowed Mark DeRosa to score the game winning run in the Tribe's 4-3. Talk about home field advantage if it's not midges it's seagulls...Geoff Blum knocked in the game winner for the second night in a row as the Astros escaped the Cubs, 2-1 in 13 innings...The Mets hope at an extra innings win over the Phillies was dashed for the second night in a row by a homerun, this time a three run blast by Raul Ibanez that gave the Phils the 6-3 advantage...John Maine is hitting the DL with weakness in his shoulder...The Rays pounded the Angels, 11-1...Pat Burrell looks ready to comeback...The Rockies completed a sweep of the Brewers, 5-4...Kevin Millwood kept Blue Jays batters baffled for 7 2/3 innings while the Rangers bullpen held onto a 1-0 victory...Texas singed El Duque to a minor league contract. Texas is like the land of career resurrection these days...This is just getting embarressing for the Yankees...David Ortiz hit his third homerun in a week. Someone looks like they may be back...Japan hearts Bobby Valentine.

Basketball: Derek Fished tied the game with a late 3 pointer and the Lakers closed the deal with a 99-91 win. LA know has a 3 games to 1 lead...Derek Rose is sorry for flashing a gang sign in a recent photo...Former NBA official Tim Donaghy was apparently attacked in prison. Didn't anyone tell him not to drop the soap?

Football: The Eagles restructured QB Donovan McNabb's contract giving him a $5.3 million raise...Rex Grossman will bring his sexiness to the Texans...The Patriots have released RB Patrick Pass...Ryan Leaf is a wanted man.

Hockey: Someone will win the Stanley Cup tonight. But who it will be, well I'll give you two guesses...The Stars have hired Marc Crawford to replace Dave Tippett.
