Double Dip on Labor Day

My grandpa Norman would be very excited upon learning that the Yankees will host a day-night doubleheader on Labor Day this year, the first time since 1978. He never could get over not having two games held on the unofficial send-off to summer. The event came courtesy of a rainout on June 5th against the Rays, which the Yanks have moved to 7:05 PM on September 7th. The first game will be held at 1:05 PM as originally scheduled.

Those holding tickets to the June 5th game can either use them for the September 7th night game or exchange them for any regular season game at Yankee Stadium within 12 months from June 5, 2009.

But don’t give up your tickets just yet, the Bombers were scheduled to give the first 18.000 fans 21 or older a Yankee Stadium Figurine courtesy of Sports Authority on June 5th, but have moved the promotion Labor Day.
