The Computers can't live with them, can't live without them edition

Sorry for the late post, I was having some minor techinical issues this morning.

Baseball: Barry Bonds is not retired. So don't get it twisted...Rafael Furcal could be thisclose to becoming an Atlanta Brave again, although the A's did up their offer...The Phillies re-signed Jamie Moyer to a 2 year deal while also picking up Chan Ho Park...The Orioles locked up Cesar Izturis to a two year deal...The Rockies got themselves a new lefty reliever, Alan Embree...The Padres have hired Goldman Sachs to find a buyer for the team.

Basketball: The Celtics tied an NBA best 23-2 start after rolling over the Jazz, 100-91. Their win streak is now at 15...The Kings pick up a 118-103 win over the T'Wolves in their first game since firing Reggie Theus...The Knicks fell to the Suns, 111-103 in coach Mike D'Antoni's first visit back to Phoenix as a Knick...Vince Carter has 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Nets passed the Raptors, 94-87...The Hawks gave the Bobcats their seventh straight loss.

College Basketball: Cleveland State stunned Syracuse, 72-69...UCONN embarassed Stony Brook, 91-57...UNC is still number one...Utah has suspended guard Luka Drca for two games after he committed an intentional foul during a loss to Oklahoma.

College Football: Charles Barkley is not a fan of Auburn's new coach Gene Chizik.

Football: The Eagles stomped the Browns, 30-10...The Titans' Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosch are out until the playoffs...The Vikings will be without Pat Williams for the next 2 to 6 weeks after suffering a fractured shoulder...Chiefs GM Carl Peterson has resigned...Confidence is key in the make-up of a head coach. Even if you have to fake it. Although no one told that to Jim Zorn who described himself as the "worst coach in America." Fake it until you make it, Jimmy.

Hockey: The Sharks set an NHL record for best 30 game start with their 3-2 (SO) victory over the Kings...Jordan Leopold scored on a penalty shot as the Avs edged the Red Wings, 3-2...In counteract the wind, the Red Wings and Blackhawks will switch sides midway through the 3rd period so no one will have an unfair advantage.

Best of the Rest: Tiger Wood's caddie Steve Williams can cross Phil Mickelson off his Christmas list and vice versa...Padraig Harrington was named PGA Tour player of the year...The World Boxing Council is looking into Shane Mosley after reports surfaced that during sworn testimony he admitted to taking performance enhancing drugs.

Check this out: I meant to put this on yesterday's post, but I totally forgot. Anyway, I mentioned some great gift ideas for the female sports fan in your life but Bill Simmons Christmas ideas (with the help of some of his readers) are way better. Click here to see the NFL Fan's anti-gift list.
