Baseball: A lot of news coming out of the winter meetings, the Yankees have reportedly signed CC Sabathia. I'm officially nauseous right now...Meanwhile the Mets have locked up K-Rod a three year, $37 million deal...The Dodgers have signed Mark Loretta and Casey Blake...The Indians are getting closer to signing Kerry Wood...The Orioles traded Ramon Hernandez to the Reds for Ryan Freel and two minor leaguers...When you manage a world series championship team, you tend to get rewarded, like an extension through 2011 for you Mr. Manuel...Say goodbye to the coin flip.

Basketball: San Antonio pulled off a 133-126 double
OT victory over the Mavericks...Hedo Turkoglus hit a three pointer with 0.3 seconds left to give the Magic a 109-108 edge over the Trail Blazers...The Cavs win streak hit nine with their 114-94 beating of the Raptors...The Kings stopped their eight game slide with a stunning 113-101 victory over the Lakers.

College Basketball: #6 Texas topped #15 Villanova, 67-58...Stephen Curry scored 13 of Davidson's final 15 points as they narrowly beat West Virginia, 68-65...Their football team maybe undefeated, but that's certainly not the case with their basketball team, as Ball State was routed by Purdue, 68-39...

College Football: Auburn students protested the treatment of former football coach Tommy Tuberville.

Football: Redskins runningback Clinton Portis is not happy and he's blaming head coach JIm Zorn...Note: the NFL has moved the Panthers-Giants game on December 21st to 8:15....The Lions fined center Dominic Raiola $7,500 for flipping off the fans...The NFLPA has filed a grievance on behalf of Plaxico Burress...The recession has hit the NFL.

Hockey: Simon Gagne broke up a three all tie with less than nine minutes remaining to give the Flyers a 4-3 win over the Islanders...Cody McLeod scored twice as the Avalanche rolled past the Kings, 6-1...The Predators are not happy about Tuesday's game and it has less to do with their 3-1 loss and more to do with the Canucks head hunting...Robert Lang had two goals and an assist as the Canadiens beat the Flames, 4-1.The Sabres goalie Ryan Miller was not happy with the way he was treated by a ref during Buffalo's 4-3 win over the Penguins on Monday...Oh and the Sabres are not for sale...The NHL is worried about the economy.

Best of the Rest: Like this was a surprise, according to people to tabulate stuff, Budweiser's exposure was way down a year after moving from the hood of Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s car to Kasey Kahne's...MLS 2008 Coach of the Year Sigi Schmid will leave his post with the Columbus Crew and is expected to join the Seattle Sounders. Schmid led the Crew to their first MLS championship this season...Golfer Seve Ballesteros has been released from the hospital and is thanking his doctors for giving him a chance to play the "mulligan of my life."
