Milestone Night

Well that would probably hurt your ability to get signed, huh...Derek Jeter, playing for USA, will go up against his Yankee teammates in an exhibition game...Andruw Jones reportedly declined an offer by the Yankees...Get excited Southern California, Mexican Baseball is coming to Dodger Stadium...Joe Buck is taking over for Bob Costas at HBO.

Basketball: Lamar Odom's late free throws gave the Lakers the 110-109 edge over the Celtics in OT...Congrats to Ray Allen on being named an All-Star...The 76ers have lost Elton Brand for the rest of the season, but they responded to the news well, beating the Pacers, 99-94...Deron Williams had 34 points in the Jazz's 115-87 rout of the Mavs...The Magic have acquired Tyronn Lue from the Bucks for Keith Bogans.


College Basketball: Congratulations to Pat Summitt, who collected her 1,000th victory as the Lady Vols demolished Georgia, 73-43...Wisconsin ended their slide in convincing fashion, taking out #23 Illinois, 63-50.

Football: Cardinals assistant Todd Haley will likely take the Chiefs head coaching job...The Pats have put the franchise tag on back-up QB Matt Cassel...The Texans were reportedly participating in illegal contact drills during minicamp...Former Cowboy Terry Glenn was arrested after appearing disoriented at a hotel. He was charged with public intoxication and marijuana possession. Watch out Glenn, because the popo are on your tail!



Hockey: Alexander Ovechkin become the fourth player to score 200 goals in his first 4 seasons, unfortunately for the Caps, they ended up on the wrong side of a 5-4 decision to the Kings...The Bruins needed a fifth round shootout to put the Senators away, 4-3...Michael Leighton made 37 saves as the Hurricanes notched a 4-3 SO victory over the Sharks...Andrew Ladd had a goal and two assists in the Blackhawks 5-2 win over the Flames.

Best of the Rest: More Phelps fall-out, Mikey has been suspended by US Swimming for three months and dropped by Kelloggs. With all of the news swirling around, Phelps is considering not participating in the 2012 Olympics. Give it a few weeks Michael and we'll move onto something else and you can get back to the doing what you do best, swimming!...Lane Kiffin was reprimanded by the SEC for his comments saying the Gators cheated.
