Friday Funnies

Ten Malaysian national hockey team members have been sent to rehab after tests showed they are smokers. Team manager George Koshy said the players will be sent to the National Sports Institute (NSI) where they will attend sessions that will hopefully help them to stop smoking.

"Not all of them are hard-core smokers. Some claimed that they had stopped smoking while a few others said they were cutting down the habit," said Koshy, without revealing who the culprits were.

"All the 10 players will have to undergo a special rehab programme to help them kick the habit."

Malaysian hockey officials and players were heavily criticized after failing to qualify for the Beijing Olympics and finishing last in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.

What exactly are they smoking that they are being sent to rehab? If this were the Mets of the mid to late 1980s, smoking would seem like a win compared to the massive amounts of cocaine many of the team members were ingesting.
