Nascar brings the circus to New York

This past week NASCAR was everywhere from "The Late Show with David Letterman" to the "Early Show" on CBS and even for a Q&A with the fans at the ESPN Zone. But while they may be great in the car, their fashion sense really needs some TLC. Just look at the evidence:

Originally I thought, Jeff Burton are you that opposed to wearing a blazer? First "Letterman" and now this photo. But then upon further review I totally allowed the blazerless Burton over Martin Truex, Jr. rocking the jeans! Did no one mention to his people that this was going to be a business casual affair. Because after receiving an email documenting what business casual is yesterday at work, I now know, jeans are not a part of that equation.

To catch a clip of Martin's incredible interview on the CW 11 yesterday click here.

The suit looks nice. The shirt with a light stripe breaks up the whole solid white shirt look. But then I moved up to the face and was totally blinded by the glare off of the silver sunglasses. This takes the ugly white sunglasses to another horrible level. And to top them off, they don't fit you properly Kurt. The rims cut you off in the middle of the brow. Either cover them up or let them be free (which I don't really approve of either) but don't do the half on, half off look.

It was actually hard to find a picture that documented the hideousness of the gelled back hair properly so I'm reverting to video evidence here. It's obiviously time for a haircut because this Gordon Gekko rip off is not working for you. You need a slight bang to offset your large nose. It's ok, we've all got our problem areas, you just have to learn how to accentuate the positive. Also the cuffs of your shirt are way too long. The sleeves of your blazer should just hit the cuffs.

This shot was actually taken at a fashion week event, which is ironic since this is so a "don't." (Although the dress your wife is wearing is super cute, minus the ruffles on the bottom, of course.) First of all, if you're going to wear a tie, wear it properly Avril. And secondly, tuck in your shirt. This whole I'm from California we do business in our board shorts vibe is not happening in New York. For a guy who could make almost anything look GQ, this is not working for me.

It's been fun blogging with you,

Kate

Hate to say it, but Jimmy looks like a fat Donny Osmond in that pic.
