Men in Black

In my opinion there are only two people who are worthy of the man in black nickname, Johnny Cash and Dale Earnhardt. Oh and by the way, they are both dead, so for these athletes, the all black look is a big no-no:

David Wright at All-Star party
I'll admit, I'm pretty sure the fact that he is David Wright and he was at a Playboy sponsored event that the all black ensemble didn't hurt his game. But seriously, bring back the pastels! Or at least where some orange under the dress shirt.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Dale, Jr. may be the son of the man in black but that does not allow him to rock this all black outfit. He did try to mix in the charcoal silk tie, but with his pale complexion, black should be taken off the list of acceptable colors to wear. What about a nice blue shirt to match your dreamy eyes and break up the monotony?

Kevin Garnett at Steve Nash/GQ Party
Can you find Kevin? (He's on the far right) It's like Where's Waldo without the red and white stripes.

Ben McKenzie
So Ben is totally not an athlete, but he did attend the Stanley Cup Finals this year. And I kind of got a little OC overload by watching the marathon on SoapNet yesterday. But in the end, this all black look is far too moody for him. You don't want to be type cast do you? And what's up with the bowling shoes? That really kills this outfit.

One person cool enough for the man in black title...Dale Earnhardt

Don't forget to catch Dale on CMT tonight at 8 PM/est with a preshow starting at 7 PM/est.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
