Do it for pride!

Sorry for the late post. It has less to do with the Braves' game last night and more with the hacking cough and large amounts of medication I'm currently taking.

Braves Update:
Brian McCann made it close but David Wright's homerun in the sixth put the game permanently out of reach for the Braves in their 3-2 loss to the Mets on Monday. Tim Hudson's few mistakes were pounced on by the Mets and unfortunately for the Braves, Oliver Perez made it hard for them to capitalize. The abcense of Chipper Jones and Andruw Jones didn't help their cause either. The Braves look for a win against the Metsies tonight at 7:10 PM/est on SS.

Games behind NY Mets in NL East: 9.5
Games above .500: 2
NL Wild Card Leader: San Diego Padres

Braves Notes: Chipper Jones injured his oblique during batting practice on Monday while Andruw Jones missed Monday's game with an illness...The Braves September 21st game against the Milwaukee Brewers has been moved from 7:05 to 7:35 PM/est while the September 22nd game has been moved from 7:05 to 3:55 PM/est.

NASCAR Update:
Sterling Marlin and Joe Nemechek have sued DEI/Ginn Racing over their termination earlier this year.

Boris Said will attempt to qualify for Sunday's race in New Hampshire in the #98 for Gillette Evernham Motorsports.

Popo in my crib News:
Indiana Pacers foward Shawne Williams was booked on marijuana possession and driving without a license, driving with an expired license plate and failure to signal a lane change on Tuesday. Watch out Shawne, because the popo are on your tail!

News & Notes: JaMarcus Russell and the Oakland Raiders have reportedly agreed to principal terms on a six year, $61 million contract...The Giants have been hit hard, or have they? News broke on Monday that Eli Manning had a slight separated shoulder that could have him out for a month, but the Giants are claiming it's not that bad and Manning may even play on Sunday. Either way, they will be without Osi Umenyiora, Brandon Jacobs and Rueben Droughns on Sunday...The news is not so good for Buffalo Bill Kevin Everett who suffered life threatening injuries on Sunday. Doctors are saying that Everett will likely be paralyzed. Incidents like these put everything into prespective...Portland Blazers number one draft pick Greg Oden is expected to have knee surgery this week...The NL Central is tied once again after the Cubs beat the St. Louis Cardinals 12-3 and the Milwaukee Brewers dropped a game to the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-0...Baltimore Orioles outfielder Jay Gibbons' name has joined the growing list of players linked to HGH. Gibbons has been asked to meet with baseball officials...And finally, a new report has Tom Glavine playing in his 22nd MLB season next season. He can play for the Mets, I'm officially over him!

Check this out: September 11th may go down as the biggest day in the recording industry history as Kanye West, 50 Cent and Kenny Chesney released new albums today. Check out a preview of Kenny's album here.

It's been fun blogging with you,
Kate
